The Paris Seine Initiative

International context

Student mobility

International student mobility has become a major issue today (it concerned 4.5 million students in 2012, and it is expected to double within ten years). Welcoming the best international students is thus a major objective that Paris Seine Initiative intends to address by developing innovative training programs, numerous incoming mobility grants, at a Master or PhD level, within the new international research university.

Mobility of teacher-researchers

The international mobility of teacher-researchers has always been an important marker of the vitality and attractiveness of academic research. Paris Seine Initiative fully considers the highly competitive environment and promotes voluntarist human resources policies.

To attract young talents that will strive and increase its international visibility, our new research university will offer financial incentives, a high-quality working environment for teacher-researchers, as well as flexible services adapted to the needs of everyone.

International attractiveness will be enhanced by the Paris Seine international Campus, which will meet the highest international standards. In addition to modern services and equipment, this campus will also include specific spaces favoring intellectual encounters and disciplinary decompartmentalization, enabling to practice physical activities and to organize high-quality cultural and festive events for a lively university experience.

Covering a 2 km2 area, it will include an urban center with ten institutions, as well as accommodation and leisure facilities in an exceptional natural environment. Located 30 minutes outside of Paris by RER, the campus will become a strong element of identity for the territory and its higher education and research environment.
